Warranty
Thank you for your purchase at Custom Vanity. We stand behind the quality of our products and are committed to ensuring your satisfaction. The following Warranty applies to your purchases with us. If you have any questions about this Warranty, please get in touch using the contact details at the bottom of this page.
1. Structural Warranty:
We guarantee the structural integrity of our vanities for the following periods from the date of purchase:
Timber vanities: 7 years
Timber-look laminate vanities: 10 years
This warranty covers any defects in materials or workmanship that affect the functionality or stability of the vanity.
2. Timber Coating Warranty:
From the date of purchase, we provide a 2-year warranty on the coating applied to the timber components of your vanity. This Warranty covers any peeling, flaking, or discolouration of the coating under normal domestic use and maintenance. It does not cover damage due to neglect, misuse, or other causes listed in Clause 4: Exclusions.
That being said, if you encounter issues with the coating outside the Warranty’s inclusions or period, please get in touch, and we will advise on how to resolve the problem. In instances where reapplication of the coating is needed (e.g., after superficial damage, stains, etc.), the process is usually simple and requires only a light sanding followed by 2-3 coats of the coating. Further instructions will be provided where necessary.
3. Stone Warranty:
The standard stone we use comes from Caesarstone and Quantum Zero. The manufacturer’s warranty applies to our stone tops, subject to the terms and conditions of their respective warranties. Please visit their websites for more information.
4. Vanity Care/Maintenance:
When cleaning your vanity, particularly the timber components, we recommend using a microfibre cloth with warm, soapy water — taking care to dry any excess moisture.
Avoid using cleaning products that contain bleach, harsh chemicals, abrasives, or acidic substances, as these may damage the coating over time.
For stone top vanities, we also recommend using warm soapy water or cleaning products that have been especially formulated for this purpose, such as Caesarstone’s Spray Cleaner.
While our timber tops have been coated with a clear 2Pac for enhanced protection and durability, it is important to always wipe up any spills and avoid leaving water or other bathroom products to sit and pool for prolonged periods of time. Water or other liquids left on any treated timber for extended periods may cause damage. This type of damage would be considered ‘neglect’ and is not covered by our Warranty.
5. Exclusions:
This Warranty does not cover damage caused by improper installation, misuse, neglect, accidents, alterations, or natural disasters. Damage to the timber, such as swelling and cracking from leaking taps, basins, or other sources of water, is also not covered by this Warranty.
Additionally, this Warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, including but not limited to scratches, dents, or changes in the wood due to environmental factors.
We recommend having your vanity installed by a licensed tradesperson after tiling has been completed and not tiling around the vanity, as this minimises the risk of damage during installation and helps to prevent future waterproofing issues. Please note that our Warranty does not cover any damage that occurs during installation, including but not limited to tiling around the vanity.
6. Claim Procedure:
To make a Warranty claim, please contact us using the information listed at the bottom of this page. Proof of purchase will be required. We may request photographs or other documentation to assess the claim.
7. Remedy:
If a valid Warranty claim is determined, we will, at our discretion, either repair or replace the defective part or product. Any repair or replacement under this Warranty will be provided without charge for materials or labor.
8. Limitation of Liability:
Our liability under this Warranty is limited solely to the repair or replacement of defective parts or products, and we shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages.
9. Rights:
Under Australian Consumer Law you have rights and guarantees that cannot be limited nor excluded by us. For more information, please visit the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission’s (ACCC) website. A link has been provided here for your convenience.
By purchasing a bathroom vanity from Custom Vanity you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms and conditions of this Warranty.
